I've seen so many people post videos from Aseulhan in the last few days because of that dating show, and the difference between how they used to act then and now is so interesting and it's amazing how shippers don't notice it. Speaking of shipping, as a solo fan i admit it can be exhausting seeing Irene used as a vessel that shippers from all side project on and i don't necessarily ship, but i think it's odd to talk about Irene in any gay capacity even with randoms that Irene interacts with a couple of times and ignore her dynamic with Seulgi.

Individually they're more mature than before. I would love to know what others mean by them being equal?

The different between offstage and on stage...their interaction are so...not sure what is the right words. They acts like strangers and then being goofy backstage. I enjoyed watching their tiny moments in hiseulgi or any other vlogs.

She did subtly, however the unnie and dongsaeng dynamic was always prominent. Irene always shown to be the one to take charge, onle post jeju you can see Seulgi taking lead, and Irene allowing herself to be taken care of. There’s a reason why in their earlier years Irene was always whining about Seulgi not paying enough attention to her and now you can see Seulgi making sure Irene knows she is paying attention.

Maybe you should watch lup full episode instead or older videos (before jeju). Irene is always the one who takes care of the members. Feed them, giving blanket n tissues, save seulgi from microfon, etc. Irene is true leader and sister back then.

I've seen them. That's what I meant, I saw videos from before jeju happened. To me they've always relied on each other but I think I can agree with the other anon above about a subtle shift.

Da someone once casually commented that maybe its a habit from their teenage trainee days when Seulgi wasn't much taller than Irene, if at all, and nor were her shoulders as wide. So they never really lost the habit and its a gesture that still brings a sense of familiarity and comfort to them. Ngl after reading that I wasn't feeling sane anymore lol
