honestly, i didn't think much about the merch in that sense, but i thought it was really cute that their dolls have magnet hands. rings as a part of the merch is...definitely a choice.

this is my first time posting about aseul's relationship, so i wanted to add that as a follower of k-pop for a really long time, getting into different groups and ships beforehand, i have to say that aseul is...different. rv as a group already doesn't do much fan service compared to others, and if they do, it's obvious that it's for the fans. aseul, on the other hand, have either been awkward, careful, or just in the moment (and these moments are usually when the cameras aren't focused on them), or you don't really see that with other ships within rv either.

at first i thought monster was already intense. the concept and also having lup s4 with just the 2 of them going around on those cute little dates, but i didn't think they could've been together at that point. it was more like they recognize the bond that they have for each other is deep and potentially transcended any other relationship they could have had at the time as well. i mean, they were the only 2 girl trainees left and had no choice but to stick together and saw it through.

but i agree with you that their interactions are a little bit different during tilt era. i think it's because they're a lot older and have gone through so many different things together as well. it's post monster, post irene's scandal, post jeju trip. even if they may not be together in a romantic sense, you cannot deny that they love each other so deeply. it's compassionate love, if you will. if they are together, then well, i would think they would be extremely careful in how they would navigate that area in their lives without exposing themselves too much.

Honestly, seulrene for me has always been a natural and genuine interaction duo. They're not the fake type ever since the beginning. Those cute and sweet moments that we see with them are usually caught in the moment ones and not forced. The forced ones that I actually see are the ones where they tried to avoid each other and then it becomes awkward eventually which happens even recently. It makes me question all the time why would they'd be awkward like that with so much years between them especially they always label themselves as family 'unnie-dongsaeng' type. It doesn't add up.

SO based from my perspective, I think, this cb can't be a queerbait or just a selling point. I don't think they're not that type to do so. Also, IF I'm queer celebrity in a very conservative and anti-women country my only self expression is my craft and at the same time I want to communicate it with my fans. That would be a way to love my work and be comfortable of my future regardless of the constant hate from other communities. And TILT is a song about shifting perspectives, it does line up with what they could/would try to do. Showing how deep their relationship and can persuade people's beliefs that pure love can happen between two adult women regardless of they're a couple or not.

As for the products, SM could also be capitalizing from the duo but it's also possible that they may be also supporting them, we would never know.
