Last time I was on a forum was probably in the early 2010's and this one is quite different
Also, it turns I did not figure out the spoiler thing lol. Is it because there's a space between 'spoiler' and the sentence or is it something else?
Irene and Seulgi

There's been an observable rise in anti shipping sentiment online especially for RPS (because of how invasive and crazy fans tend to be) and lbr, WR is not really on anybody's radar outside the fandom. SR is way more popular and visible on twitter and elsewhere and I think there's people just observing us on a day to day waiting to say I told you so or just shit on LGBT fans for liking them, because they're homophobic. There's also been cases of men LARPing as women or lesbians and infiltrating lesbian kpop spaces because they don't feel welcome as men or they're creeps. So there's that, and probably some of the people going after SR shippers are akgaes, het shippers or were WR shippers that are now akgaes/antis.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 4:33 am I saw that troll on the other board too and they are so ridiculous. One of the things that shocked me the most when I got back into RV was the massive hate boner for seulrene and its shippers like.... why? Is it because most of us got pushed away from online spaces so there's no defense or what? I've seen wr shippers be way more delusional and disrespectful but no one gives them the same energy as far as I know. It's so weird. And is there something they subconsciously see in aseul's dynamic they can't deny so they hate them? I'm honestly so confused about this

I see. Thank you for the explanation. It's crazy how much the Internet has changed in such a short amount of years. There's definitely been a shift in fandom spaces since 2020. That year really screwed everything over.aseulhan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 5:16 amThere's been an observable rise in anti shipping sentiment online especially for RPS (because of how invasive and crazy fans tend to be) and lbr, WR is not really on anybody's radar outside the fandom. Well, haters can hate all they want. At the end of the day SR will prevail bc for a "tragic" ship, they are clearly the strongest

I believe and have observed silently that most of the haters are usually the akgaes. And most akgaes I think are men too and hate seulrene having the best relationship. Whenever they are paired up with other people other than sr themselves, they usually jump on it immediately and hype them up too. They're a plague. Only way to avoid them is to ignore them because they're attention seekers and also love to trigger people.

-> This is Irene, who supports and likes Seulgi very much.
Whipped. Lol.

I just want to say sr willingly spend time together despite being unwell is something that i really adore and admire. Irene got fever in smtown indonesia but still went out with seulgi then you have seulgi having jet lagged but still went out with irene. Not only that i think eating even when feel tired and unwell is important to them. Still need to eat even if they feel shitty. Lol. Don't forget to eat. Anyway, they spends time together and always supports each other despite being busy or unwell

All of these only what they've shown us or some fans caught them. Imagine what they haven't shared. Also remember the double date with Jennie and RoséGuest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 10:13 pm I just want to say sr willingly spend time together despite being unwell is something that i really adore and admire. Well of course, just look at what they did for the a*spa single. That was the very definition of a cash grab if I've ever seen one but I doubt aseul didn't have input in how they wanted their merchandise to look like. They seemed very involved in as aspects of this cbGuest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 5:35 amit's cute but SM wants your $$$$$$ and they know the audience

I don't suppose we'll find out how much but I really liked the overall tilt merch and the album simple as it was. I got the QR version the red and black is just *chefs kiss*. I wonder if they'll have another comeback at any point in time before another 5 years from now or this was it.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 6:01 amWell of course, just look at what they did for the a*spa single. I really liked it too. I usually only buy one album and never really care for the pictures, but this time I got the photobook and the 200 page one and actually enjoyed looking through the photos (multiple times lmao).
As far as another cb goes tho idk. I'm a bit of a pessimist but with the way SM treats the girls and how obvious they are about not caring for RV, I find it hard to believe they'll want to fund another aseul cb anytime soon or ever thb, tilt already looked like it cost 5 pennies and a dream. Not to mention the whole oyster thing, which was so ridiculous I cant even.
Aseul seem very firm and dedicated to their vision, even if it's something the SM higher ups dont like. Remeber the CEO saying he thought it was "too much"? Yeah... Only time will tell I suppose. I really hope this isn't the last we will see of the unit, they have what it takes to be the biggest duo in SK if only SM wanted them to be

We thought Aseul was burried, but I guess Seulrene fought for it in their contracts. I'm counting on them to make another cb

Guest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 2:30 am Interesting, and wasn't that when Irene was the MC of KBS Music Bank with Park Bogum from May 2015 to June 2016? They were a thing, everyone was talking about them and their chemistry.
I also remember Irene getting emotional on her last day of work and Seulgi taking her ice skating (very romantic).
Considering that Irene confessed and Seulgi rejected her, could it be that with Bogum in the picture, Seulgi felt more pressure about her feelings?
Btw, here is Seulgi 1:15~1:16 crying for her and holding a sign, very emotional, supporting MC Irene in her last day in that job.
DA Interesting theory, anon. The 2016-2018 period was so weird for me because sometimes Seulgi was affectionate towards Irene, but then she bounced and not touching her at all as if she was afraid of hurting her and all of this happened in front of the camera. The off cam moments between them were so sweet though.
Dare I say Jeju time-2021 MIGHT be them getting engaged, or making a promise to each other? That whole photoshoot is still lingering on my mind because how intimate it was. We know both are into photography especially Seulgi. They really take their memory keeper act seriously. Remember when Irene kept taking picture of Seulgi in Aseul-han levelup project until she ran out of storage? That was so funny. So it's safe to assume that if there's a very important event like engagement or a promise ring type of situation, you betcha they would make it a big deal just like that Jeju photoshoot.
I read one time even WR shippers mocked it as SM fabricated PR and they accused them hiring a professional photographer, smh. But that's how you know how baffling the whole Jeju situation is.
If we want to dissect any theory, I'd say let's start from looking through their subunit albums and also concert VCR. I have a feeling they've been leaving trails here and there from the start, because let's be real, Seulgi is artsy af and also hopelessly romantic. A real artist will tell their stories through their art and curated it in all types of way.
For a starter, look at the huge "diamond ring" necklace on Irene’s neck. I thought that was hilarious because was that a statement? Was that like a warning for every other girls who have expressed their admiration to Seulgi?![]()

DAI definitely want to pick up on that tilt theory because throughout the whole rollout of the teasers and concept photos, I got the distinctive feeling they were trying to send a message most people could not receive (or didnt want to). It's crazy how overt the queercoding was for this cb. Moster walked so Tilt could run fr. No wonder it lasted like 5 minutes lol.
It's not uncommon for people in conservative countries to express themselves through art, because thats the only way they can show their "true self" and we know speaking your mind or diverging from the pre-established norms is a big no no in SK.
The whole thing legit looked like a wedding. That giant engagement ring on Irene's neck screams like a statement to me and I don't think it's because of the 10 year long joke that they look like a married couple.
(Sorry if this got too long. I still don't fully know how to operate this forum xD)
This reminded me of a video of a gay K-pop idol who said:
“Still, if we built a reality where people were more open-minded, regardless of coming out, artists could feel freer to explore more possibilities.”
The Korean girl replied: “If we reached a reality where everyone’s embraced?”
And he answered: “Yes, wouldn’t that be wonderful..”
Spoiler
(Timestamp: 15:39 if it doesn't work)
It just makes me so happy that they can express themselves, even if only partially, through their work and artistry. I also think they aren't scared to bold anymore since they're older now.

I would be curious to see what would happen if they ever did a straightforward MV with a lesbian storyline - like wish tree but without it being subtext, something that explicitly shows two women as a couple. If the reaction to Tilt was anything to go by it's a double edged sword. On one hand there's the conservative people that take issue with anything sexual or gay, but on the other hand there's real LGBT people that don't appreciate or take anything coming from a big conservative and low-key Christian corporation like SM at face value because at the end of the day they're just making money off it and don't actually do anything to help out or even spotlight the actual queer community in SK.
As nice as it is for us as shippers to see them do a concept like Tilt, there's valid arguments in critique of it. Some think it helps normalize, others don't. And I fear ultimately the 'Company' of it all will always be an aspect that turns people off and makes people question the sincerity behind it.

This whole misusing of the word queerbaiting and fake concern is just the new acceptable way to be homophobic and against anything not straight in kpop.
All actual gay people love gay concepts especially when they are catered to women and made by women like seulrene did it's explicit lesbian media and lesbian representation. They are extremely brave for doing that and we are grateful for it. They even had to fight their company because unlike the woke homophobes like to push companies in south korea don't push homosexuality.
Seulrene pushed homosexuality against their CEO wishes because it meant something for them.
