Sometimes I'm amazed by how deep Seulrene's bond is. Even just thinking about how, back when they were trainees, if one of them had left the company, we probably wouldn't have idol Seulgi and idol Irene. It's like they’ve always come as a package deal

I often remember when seulgi was asked if she could go travel in time without losing her memory if she'd want to go 10 years back or 10 years ahead and she said 10 years back...remembering when it was just her and Irene alone holding hands and crying on the rooftop (which reminds me of the shit in tilt where they're holding hands as the building explodes)

Assuming they were heavily involved in the concept and all I feel like the concept of them “fighting” and finding the balance does tell the story of their predebut life. Like we can only imagine how competitive being a trainee was when all the female trainees left one by one, they must have felt some complicated mix of resentment and care for each other. Like a real trauma bond maybe. That scene on the rooftop in the MV really makes me feel like the whole era was about them processing the trauma of being trainees…

The fact that all RV members still talk about their trainee life after more than a decade shows how ingrained in their mind that era was

Maybe TILT was them creatively processing their trauma of trainee life and reconciling their relationship/friendship/trauma bond, what better way to do that than through living their dream of performing and touring to make those hard years of training worth it

Anyway I think with Seulgi dropping “hints” on IG, Irene being more into yellow and bears, Seulgi purposefully not inviting Irene on her channel again, them having couple /color coordinated outfits more often… makes me think they really have moved past that weird situationship stage hehe and are “official”

I hope ASeul3 is more like Naughty, something with interesting choreography, more dancing together instead of next to each other lol. Like in Feel Good

Speaking of Feel Good, day1 con was freaking insane. Selgui's eyes and Irene's smirk? Lord have mercy. I think that was one of the few times they actually let go and allowed their natural chemestry to flow.


I also hope for better and more pair choreo next time, that's where they shine together the most and there's no denying Tilt's biggest flaw is its choreo sadly

You don't have to feel alone anon I thought extremely similarly with the whole trainee story. Them being surrounded by models at the table felt very evaluation-y? And even though there was that fashion show aspect with the invitation and the profiles with headshots - the stuff with how they were described personality wise and the items in their bag felt very them and not something made up for the concept. Unlike monster where they were twinning a lot tilt era had them contrast a lot more visually. I appreciate that Irene mentioned that was what they were going for. Not to mention the description SM gave out for the tilt concept and song mentioned competition and instead shining brighter together and I feel like that aligns with them competingwith others to debut and realising they're really good together? Even the random Q&A about their first impressions of each other felt like what would have happened back then.
