I was browsing through the old thread and found this

I’ll try my best although it’s a bit jumbled in my head. I just want to be clear that, in the past, I think Seulgi knows about Irene’s crush and was, at some point, being playful about it. Although she shies away from the touching, she gets subtly but intentionally flirty about the whole thing. It’s the little comments here and there. It’s not as blatant as when she does it with Joy, Wendy, or Yeri but it’s there. Once in their vlive, she was saying in a low voice to Irene (while Wendy is talking on the camera), about wanting to meet Irene’s parents and Irene answered that she won’t even invite her inside their house.

But it can also be because she has no real idea of the impact of her words and how gay she can sound sometimes when talking to girls. Or that it’s nothing new. I actually think that Irene is not the first girl to have a crush on her so, in a way, maybe she’s used to it. And if we assume that she knew and if we put their first vlive together into consideration, there is a high possibility that Irene has made a (gay) move at some point and Seulgi’s awkwardness may stem from her being confused about it. Either because it’s the first time a girl actually made a move or because it’s Irene.

Which makes (some of) these recent changes in their dynamic a bit telling:

1. Seulgi is more attentive to Irene than usual when they’re together as a group. May it be food, blankets, etcetera, she’ll go to her first before she moves on to the others. It can be seen in LU2 with the tea and the blankets. And if you don’t blink in LU1 when they are choosing their rooms, you can also see Seulgi taking a peek at the other room where Irene was hiding before going inside said room. Then it cut to another scene.

There is also a scene in LU2 where they are in a tent. The camera is focused on Joy and Wendy but in the background, you can see Irene calling Seulgi for something because she can’t be bothered to get up. And in the next shot Seulgi is standing near the tent tending to whatever Irene wants/needs.

They’re also both more attentive of each other. In LU2 with the seafood buffet, you can see them off cam with Seulgi talking about her discomfort about sitting(?) and Irene telling her what to do.

2. Seulgi lets Irene get her way with her without question. Yes she practically lets the others get away with everything but she’ll whine about it all throughout and others wll usually ask first. With Irene, it’s different. Irene will just take something and she just lets her. One example is her phone. Another one is her (half-eaten) food that is already weird in itself even by Korean standards.

In the past, Seulgi will usually tease her about these things since she loves riling her up but recently she just keeps her mouth shut and just lets her.

3. She stopped teasing her like she constantly does in the past. Like to the point of annoying Irene. She’ll just laugh when the others does it but won’t contribute anymore. And if she’s contributing, it’s not that harsh. Just her and her random comments and random acts and she will stop when she feels like Irene is getting sensitive over it.

Also, Irene’s recent comment about the way Seulgi reacts to her teasing nowadays is a bit odd. She said that “Seulgi just smiles when I tease her” but it’s kind of recent-ish since, in the past, she’ll definitely tease back. She didn’t react as bad as Yeri but she’s not that docile when it comes to Irene’s teasings back then.

4. She’s more accepting of Irene’s affection and will adjust her body if needed. I’ve said it before but it needs repeating since it’s the most blatant change of all. Them gravitating that way is not the norm. It happened with Irene before but it’s usually just her. But now it’s kind of a mutual thing between them whenever they’re next to each other.

5. Copying each other’s words and ending up saying the same thing together. Sometimes also doing the same gestures at the same time. One anon has commented on that before and it’s true. I started noticing it during LU1 and it kept happening and happening.

I guess sometime ago when I started noticing that something is “off” with Irene and Seulgi, I just chalked it up with Irene probably pining for Seulgi and just left it at that since I don’t have anything on Seulgi. Kinda fell bad for Irene but, you know, it’s their business.

But I dunno. Recently they just... stopped? By that I meant they stopped being confusing to me. Irene stopped doing some of the things she used to do that made me think that she’s pining hard for her and Seulgi started being more acceptable whenever Irene unconciously reaches out to her.

At first I thought that maybe Irene finally got over it. But then they started being... closer without actually being close? Like even when Irene has her back turned to Seulgi, she’ll move closer without a second thought like she’s expecting her to stay that way and that she knows she’ll stay that way. And there are still some of the things that Irene used to do like stare a lot but it’s a bit different? There is none of the “flirty” overtones now or the “longing” vibe but she just stares at Seulgi because she likes staring at her.

Irene seems more assured now (of whatever it may be) compared in the past. That’s the biggest thing that I noticed but maybe that’s just me.

I have several sources and heard different things about them. I knew a person who was in contact with these people who were stalkers. There were international and korean stalkers. The person would share some things and some things turned out true so this shows the stalkers might be truthful. They claimed irene got this necklace for seulgi. QMTA my point is I want to gatekeep what we know about them. I'm a bit conflicted. On the one hand this could definitely make them go back into hiding if there is actually something going on. They stopped taking the same car after the whole fan asking them about clothes thing. I don't think publishing something like this is any better. On the other hand I'm thinking even if there is something going on they are a popular ship and a unit so it would be easy for them to hide behind that. People will just call it fanservice and move on without actually thinking they are together.
