On another note, I honestly don’t know why they’re not traveling together. They both love it and have said they’d like to travel together someday. But if they are in a relationship, then what the other anon said kind of makes sense like, Irene still wants to perform and act, and unfortunately they live in South Korea where they could face discrimination or even get blacklisted because of conservative people.

I remember that in one of these teas they said something along those lines, and I am more inclined to believe that, because I remember some things in their timeline that make me believe that even in the early years Irene had already made some moves in that direction. As an ordinary person in society, I believe that many of us think we know how dating works among celebrities, but the reality is that we cannot measure them by our own experiences. These are people from a homophobic and sexist country, where any wrong move could compromise their future in the industry forever. Isn't it clear that these people, two famous women, would protect their relationship from any problems?
Therefore, nonsense such as "they don't travel together" are extremely shallow comments of social analysis. If even heterosexual celebrities date at home, why would people think they should be exposing themselves to the world when they are both idols?

It would be dumb to think that because many of those companies work directly with SM idol groups, they didn't put Monster or Naughty in any category, not even out of courtesy. Those songs went viral, got millions of views, and sold a more than decent amount for the average girl group during those days. If the companies didn't include them because they decided to ignore hanteo, youtube, spotify numbers then that would make the awards look biased and they would have a beef with SM js.
