The moment the stylist and purple friend got married the chance of it being anything more vanished so I really don’t entertain the idea of it being anything more than friendship unless we have an episode of cheetahs here lol because korean men being poly would probably only be a thing if it benefits them and this does not. Da this is fun. My theory is that Irene simply has odd homoerotic friendships lol. In most cases both parties know but refuse to acknowledge it and just continue on as if it is not there. IMHO fans don't know what to make of Korean female friendships and can misread perfectly platonic friendships as being more romantic than they actually are. Irene does treat the people she likes very well so the way some of them post about her makes sense.

While purple friend story was gay enough to raise eyebrows and people could see how fond Irene really is of her, beyond that their friendship is completely private and separate from the other group of friends fans know about. So I personally don't rule out anything, feelings or more having happened before. Even with hyunny, I don't think having a boyfriend or being married destroys all possibility of something gay having happened in the past or now. Plenty of people hide. Plenty of people conform for whatever reason. I think people in the public eye of course utilize posting about their connections for attention intentionally but at the same time being associated with Irene doesn't really benefit her that much? To me they really do seem to be friends.
