I thought her perspective about dating a long time friend was interesting. Normally I see people use the excuse that members wouldn't want to risk it with their friends or co-worker but people still date people they work with all the time irl and clearly seulgi doesn't seem very off put by the idea of dating someone you've been friends with for a long time as long as you feel the same. Of course there's the stuff about timing too and looking around you after having been closed off...but I suppose it's also very different in an idol situation depending on the background of the members/group.

I really do ship them a lot, I think they have great chemistry and would make a really cute couple and there's a lot that shippers can take to interpret in certain ways, but the "they're like my real family" or "real sister" talk does give me pause. I do think they've gotten closer in a real way since doing the subunit and I accept that we don't actually know them personally or know how they really feel or really behave around each other though so who knows. I'm always open to hearing different perspectives

tbh i don’t think too much about the “they're like my real family" or "real sister", i stan them over 10 years, since the SMRookies, somethings they said was their true feeling but others can be “scripts”, so you can’t only rely on what they said but you must see what they have done to each other, words can lie but actions can’t. I don’t think sister or family would say “let make memories just the two of us” and do the things like Jeju stuff. Well but the goodthing is, they are more comfortable and more honest about their feeling now.

I feel like she deflects a lot of tries to lump the whole group in/talk generally instead of speaking about seulgi herself. I even felt it during the 28 reasons reaction like her just sitting there felt even more quiet than usual. And it doesn't help that even when they do games where they have to do similar things like human idol theatre it's usually ends up in an order that doesn't allow for her to say anything to her?

I was randomly re-watching their ASMR interview today and it gave off that vibe. Seulgi talked about them being friends for so long but Irene only talked about how nice it was to have THEM support her. It's a bit odd

i noticed that too. irene can freely talk about her feelings about each of the other members (yeri and wendy especially) but she tends to change the subject or try to talk generally when it comes to seulgi. she was like that in the movie too during the part where they were each saying something about the members one by one. it’s just so funny because irene being reserved when verbally asked about her opinion on seulgi is always betrayed by how much time they spend with each other on tour or behind the scenes and even with her clear familiarity and comfort around the hi seulgi staff
