Because the previous anon was hellbent on saying Irene treats all of them the same and I was going to bring up how only YermSeul gets her love language (flowers) and even so she’s only ever bought Yeri pure colored flowers, and straight up just gave Seulgi red roses.

+1 I'm so used to moving past things I don't find it agreeable coz of twtter but I guess there are some people just want to make it about themselves and their sole intention is to create commotion.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:06 pm It’s funny how back in 2018, people could disagree and move on. It was so interesting to me that Joy mentioned this right awayGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:00 pmYeah anon you get it. I could somewhat tell that she has this sensitive side but it's like she doesn't want people to notice too much. In Irene's contents, whenever she gets excited too, she becomes so animated and it's so cute. Her highs are quite exaggerated at times. So there's a possibility that when she talks about Seulgi, she's keeping herself in check (i.e. her stock answers) so she would not get so emotional. As mentioned, she could've talked about Seulgi the way she talks about Yeri but didn't. It was also been mentioned that Seulrene's relationship are deeper as confirmed by them on Idol theaterGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:39 pmAnon you're replying to here, and yes I agree with you. Sometimes you can see it. Like when Seulgi brings up the past or their trainee days - even in the seulgi zip ep - I could feel Irene's mood shift to a more emotional one, like she blinks to stop from tearing up or other times you can tell she's getting emotional because of how small and soft her voice gets. She tends to get quiet/very pensive. It always makes me wonder what's going on in her head. She also seems so shy when she's being affectionate I totally get what Seulgi means when she says she's the warmest person when you get to know her. Initially Seulgi didn't strike me as very talkative but she actually rambles a lot their personalities are quite different.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:31 pm
da, I agree with this a lot. I notice this too. In my honest opinion and observation, I read Irene as wearing your heart on your sleeves kind of gal. Her emotions are so transparent so she avoids it on camera to not get caught or something. That's why she has that signature Seulgi smile that's so apparent.
It's just my honest perspective so it could be different from others.

Nobody would bat an eye if irene talked about yeri like that or not shying clingy to yeri because people just thought them as sisters but with seulgi, they have different vibes. I saw nobody in rv have the same vibes like sr. They shouldn't be awkward after all this time but yeah. They try to act noncholant but awkward and smitten. I agree with that deeper relationship..Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:00 pmYeah anon you get it. Good example of their unique connection was that pandora ad. Definitely an interesting choice to sell them as their own thing, their chemistry was crazy. Da pc-ing. The sister talk doesn't mean anything to me. I wish people understood, but saying dongsaeng or unnie DOES NOT equal to getting called a sister. Those are terms used to address someone older or younger in their culture. It does not mean that they think of each other literally as sisters. I'm asian too, and we have similar terms too in our language and I kid u not, I teasingly call my crushes with the term that will get translated to "sister" in English but it's never in the literal sense. Direct translations lack a ton of contextGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:12 amI thought her perspective about dating a long time friend was interesting. Instead reading those chinese rumors i suggest you guys should watch this vlog of Seulgi, esp her prespective about love and relationship. Sometime “late” not always seem too bad, as long as it’s the right timing![]()

I really do ship them a lot, I think they have great chemistry and would make a really cute couple and there's a lot that shippers can take to interpret in certain ways, but the "they're like my real family" or "real sister" talk does give me pause. I do think they've gotten closer in a real way since doing the subunit and I accept that we don't actually know them personally or know how they really feel or really behave around each other though so who knows. Da the fact that Irene is so hyper aware to avoid talking much about Seulgi or any private moment with her only makes her even more sus to me. Anon you're replying to here. That's fair & true, I definitely understand the difference between unnie/dongsaeng and similar terms versus sister out west so don't think I mean those instances. I was more talking about the few other times in the context of what was being asked referring to each other as family, or for instance didn't seulgi say she never had a sister but Irene is like her real sister? Stuff like that does give me pause because I do think Seulgi (and Irene to an extent) is usually quite a genuine person so to me it is very possible that's another lense seulgi herself could be looking at it from in terms of how she treats irene somewhat differently. Or even Irene when she calls them kids from time to time. It's also possible that all that could have changed though so that's why I won't claim to know what's going on with them...I guess you could call me one of those flip flop/on the fence anons. I do think if anything happened it would have been recently and I'm well aware there's female couples in Korea who only present as being friends to family and friends even though they're actually not.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:22 pmDa pc-ing. Different anon here. It was mentioned before in lchat (that made sense to me) that even in hetero relationships in Korea at least for actors/actresses that when one is asked about their rumored onscreen partners, they deny it and say non-verbatim, "we're like brothers/sisters / he/she is my dongsaeng / he/she is my oppa/noona" but turns out they are dating/they dated. I don't think it matters in this context because seulrene are also celebrities and we know that there is a need to protect the name of the group and themselves.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:56 pmAnon you're replying to here. Semi OT but I was just reading an article from last week about IU breakup rumors and needless to say I take everything Chinese fans say with a massive grain of salt.
Hell, I've seen the stuff they think about Seulgi that's obviously not true.
Spoiler
"There have been more than a few instances of Korean celebrities breaking up in China. However, each time, these were groundless rumors, different from reality. There have also been negative reactions from locals."

I agree anon. Especially with all the drama recently. Gay tea or not their respective fans on there seemingly hate each other so be mindful of the source of these rumors.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:03 pm Semi OT but I was just reading an article from last week about IU breakup rumors and needless to say I take everything Chinese fans say with a massive grain of salt.

Idk but if it's Irene's activities, apparently DC Irene said in mid-February that a new schedule for Irene would be announced in a few days, and until now, nothing so maybe it's related?

Did they ever got teas right?
Say it's related to that, but why seurrene included Seulgi on that tweet? I'm thinking ASeul fancon but is it too early to announce that since Seulgi is starting her comeback era?
